5 Key Benefits of Building Your Website in WordPress
WordPress is an online, open source website creation tool written in PHP. It’s probably the easiest and most powerful blogging and website content management system (or CMS) in existence today. Many famous blogs, news outlets, music sites, Fortune 500 companies and celebrities are using it. Here are five key benefits of using WordPress for your website:
- Themes allow you to change the design of your website quickly. There are thousands of themes available for WordPress.
- Plugins allow you to extend the functionality of your site without knowing how to program. There are over 10,000 plugins available that help you add all kinds of functionality to your sites, like social media sharing, SEO, photo slideshows, and much more.
- They are easy to update. If you can create a Word document, you can publish a new article to your website. Once it is set up, you can update it anytime you want, and that is important for engagement with your visitors and for the search engines.
- Google loves WordPress sites. Because they are updated more frequently, and the content tends to be structured well, you can get a WordPress site ranking very quickly compared to a static website. Google has even gone on record as recommending WordPress for business sites (see YouTube video)
- It is supported by a thriving, engaged community. A recent study estimates that approximately 8% of the sites on the Internet are run by WordPress. There are thousands of designers, developers and enthusiasts out there to help if you get stuck. Help is just a Google or Bing search away.

How to post Instagram photos directly to a Facebook page
Instagram like other social media tools is a great marketing tool for all kinds of businesses and professionals to showcase their products and services. If your brand uses both Facebook and Instagram for your business, you’ll find that it is easier to tie both accounts together so your images automatically post to you business page instead of your personal profile. It also saves you time as you can post your Instagram photos straight to your Facebook page without having to do it all over again. Posting your Instagram photos on Facebook is as easy as 123.
Here’s how to automatically post your Insta-photos straight to your Facebook page.
- Launch the Instagram app from the Home screen of your iPhone.
- Tap on the Profile icon in the bottom navigation. It’s the one to the far right.
- Now tap on the Settings icon in the upper right hand corner. It’s right beside the Edit Your Profile button and looks like a gear.
- Tap on Linked Accounts. You may have to scroll a bit to find this option.
- Tap Facebook.
- Tap Ok in the prompt that appears on screen. If you aren’t logged into the Facebook app, you may need to add in your account information.
Once you link accounts, you’ll have the option to share a post to Facebook from the same screen where you add a caption.
That’s all there is to it! If you ever want to change the way Instagram posts photos, you can always tweak and reset your options through the same steps. You can even choose which Facebook page your Instagram photos go to if you manage more than one! That wasn’t so hard, was it?

Hello, Workplace by Facebook
The workplace is much more decentralized today than it was in decades past, making collaboration software an essential part of accomplishing goals. There are plenty of collaboration options available, but all come with a catch: They don’t look like any platform you use in your personal life. Facebook realized that, which is why it launched Workplace by Facebook, a business-focused version of Facebook that creates a collaborative space with a look, feel, and function similar to the consumer version of Facebook that already exists.
Benefits of Workplace by Facebook
- Accounts are separate, so users of one don’t need to worry about personal/business lives bleeding into each other. Imagine a version of Facebook where small communities are siloed from each other—that’s the basic gist of Workplace by Facebook. Profiles, newsfeeds, groups, and other features of consumer-facing Facebook are there, but they’re all restricted to people who share your business’s email domain name.
- Registering for a Workplace account is completely separate from your existing Facebook profile and is done using your work email address. Once you register, Workplace will tell you if there are other users from your domain on the site and pair you up with them once you verify your email address.
- There isn’t any overlap between personal and Workspace accounts, so there’s no need to worry about crossover or bosses getting access to embarrassing college photos.
- Facebook has also baked Facebook Live into Workplace, making broadcasting to employees and team members super quick.
- Workplace by Facebook also offers collaboration in a variety of synchronous and asynchronous ways using a platform familiar to nearly 2 billion people.
- Workplace by Facebook has a simple pricing structure:
- $3/N1,080 a month per user for companies with less than 1000 employees
- $2/N720 a month per user for organizations up to 10,000 people
- $1/N360 a month per user for over 10,000 employees
- Free for non-profit organizations and educational institutions. This makes the cost of entry relatively low for businesses who want to get started with Workplace.
- Workplace’s Work Chat has mobile apps for iOS and Android, which allow for communication between users on a familiar platform (Facebook counterpart Messenger currently boasts 900 million monthly active users).
- Analytics and Integrations: a dashboard with analytics, integration, single sign-on, and identity providers that companies use to integrate Workplace with their existing IT systems.
- Multi-Company Groups: shared spaces in which employees from different organizations can work together and collaborate.
Registering for Workplace by Facebook
To join Workplace, you must submit an application to workplace.fb.com on the behalf of your company. Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email from Workplace inviting you to join. Note that you may receive a response from Workplace as late as three months.
If you want to start a Workplace account for your company, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Click “Get Started”
From the email invite Marketplace sent you, click “Get Started.”
Step 2: Click “Get Started” again
Click “Get Started.”
Step 3: Fill in form and click “Preview Profile”
Fill in the form with your information and click “Preview Profile” to see what your profile looks like.
Step 4: Access free trial
To access the free trial, click “Get Started.”
Step 5: Create password and click “Invite Coworkers”
Create your password then click “Invite Coworkers” to invite your employees to sign up. Employees won’t have to purchase the free trial.
Step 6: Invite co-workers
Enter the full names and email addresses of the employees you want to invite. Then click “Send Invites.”
Step 7: You’re done!
Congrats! You’re now a member of Workplace, and the employees you invited will become members of Workplace as soon as they sign up. Your email invites will be sent to the email addresses you provided, and your employees will go through a similar sign up process outlined in “How to Join Workplace as an Employee.”

Five Benefits of a Great SEO
When you’re conducting business online, the importance of SEO can’t be overestimated – a carefully planned SEO strategy is the best guarantee to ensure your position in Google’s search results. If your SEO strategy isn’t up to par, it’s a given that you’ll end up buried low in the search results, and that’s not where you want to be.
However, SEO is a tough subject to master; it requires time and effort like no other digital marketing strategy. Of course, SEO brings with it its unique benefits with experts claiming that SEO was, is and will forever be one of the best sources of traffic that you can get for your website and business.
Below are five benefits of having a great SEO:
- Increased Traffic – Top positions on the search engine result pages receive a majority of the impressions and clicks, so ranking in these top positions can result in significant traffic increases for your website. SEO also focuses on creating informative and keyword relevant title tags and meta descriptions, which show up in the result pages. Having optimized tags and descriptions helps to increase click through rate, which also promotes increases in qualified web traffic.
- ROI – SEO provides trackable and quantifiable results, regardless of whether you are an ecommerce or non-ecommerce site so there are no qualms when it comes to ROI. SEO agencies are able to track nearly every aspect of their strategy, like increases in rankings, traffic and conversions. Comprehensive analytics also provide the ability to drill down at a granular level and see demographic information and other engagement metrics for individuals who have interacted with your website.
- Cost effectiveness – SEO is one of the most cost-effective marketing strategies because it targets users who are actively looking for your products and services online. SEO’s inbound nature helps businesses save money as opposed to outbound strategies like cold-calling. While cold-calling can still be an effective strategy, the leads generated cost 61% more than leads generated by an inbound strategy like SEO. And since SEO also targets users who are actively searching for products and services like yours, the traffic resulting from SEO is more qualified than many other marketing strategies, resulting in cost-savings for companies.
- The Benefit Of Increased Visibility In Search Engines. The most commonly known advantage to be seen in SEO is an obvious increased visibility in search engines.
- Great SEO leads to increased credibility for your brand. Ranking highly in the search results signals to searchers that you’re a key player in your industry. Conversely, ranking on the 2nd or 3rd page may lead to unwanted assumptions: that you’re a new business, that you’re not as well known or that you don’t have the budget (and thus sales) to afford to boost your rankings
