Web Design Trends In 2019

Web Design Trends In 2019

Web Design Trends in 2019

Lately, the internet has grown and changed a lot in various ways, like the reign of mobile. Even with the development in technology, where the change is obviously seen is in web design trends. recently, design trends have pushed towards rampant creativity, abandoning grids and traditional stock photos for vibrant illustrations, bold color schemes and asymmetrical layouts, bringing out the beauty in technology and blending it with arts and creativity. In 2019, web design trends will be seeing both aesthetics and technology come together like never before. Below are some dominating web design trends for 2019.

(1) The 3-Dimensional illustration:

The 3-Dimensional illustration popularly known as the 3D illustration really has contributed tremendously to the innovation of web design. The concepts of the 3D are to add depth and realism to graphics designed to blur the boundaries between the digital and physical world. In real sense, it sharpens the contrast between digital products and human beings, even as it brings them together into imaginary spaces where people can grasp and manipulate digital elements. Below are some beautiful 3-Dimensional images.

(2) Vibrant colour Palettes:

Using a bright colour is one of the trends in web design in 2019. From gradient backgrounds to bright image overlays to animations that feature moving colours. Many of these bright colours have evolved from other design trends. Bright colours started gaining popularity with flat designs, morphed into even more vibrant colors with material design and now some of these hues have a hint of neon in them. When properly blended they give you a very beautiful image that will give you that satisfaction you deserve.

(3) Emotional Design:

The concept of emotional designs is for you to create a connection with the users. Emotional connections fall into four basic categories, joy and sadness, trust and disgust, fear and anger, surprise and anticipation. Every visual element in the design provides a cue to users about how they should react.

(4) Videos:

Just like colors, videos in 2019 are bolder and more eye-catching than ever. It is one of the great trends of web design in 2019.The key is finding the right balance so that your written copy and video don’t compete for user’s attention. Videos are more product focused to help your website visitors understand how your product works and how it will benefit them, hence it is more explanatory and easier to comprehend.

(5) Geometric and Organic Shapes:

Colorful shapes are being used on more and more of the top designed sites this year.  With continued improvements in web design technology, it’s become easier for designers to step outside the grid to express brand identity. Many designers are using circles, triangles, and rotated squares to draw users’ attention and communicate subtle messages about the brand. Because organic shapes are naturally imperfect and asymmetrical, they can provide depth to a web design that makes page elements stand out. They are based in nature (think of the curving forms of trees and hills), but free-drawn elements can capture the spontaneity of man-made accidents such as paint splatter. The goal here is for web designs to feel human and alive through the illusion of movement.

(6) Glitch arts:

A glitch art is the practice of using digital or analog errors for aesthetic purposes by either corrupting digital data or physically manipulating electronic devices. Glitches are significant in our modern times when computers are so pervasive. We fear the machines taking over, but we also don’t know what we’d do without them. Hence, the breakdown of technology makes for appealing subject matter both as an idea and in its design execution, where it can draw the viewer’s eye to those parts of the site that are warped, double exposed and glitchy. It’s a strange, futuristic time we live in, and no one is quite sure where it is all heading. Glitch art amplifies this feeling of disorientation by giving websites a distinctly psychedelic look.

(7) Outlined Types:

There’s something elusive about this kind of half-there, half-gone text that immediately draws in and holds the eye, demanding that you follow the letterforms to their natural conclusion. Which makes it a pretty handy technique for some memorable branding. In a world where chunky sans serifs dominate branding, a visually lighter letterform certainly does capture a feel of traditional — but different. Which in the end is what any new brand needs: a sense that it’s both revolutionary and trustworthy?

(8) Bright and gorgeous gradient:

In the past few years, more and more designers have adopted color gradation in design. In 2018, the fluid gradient was quite popular. Even if only one color is used, it can create a rich layered structure with the help of gradients and different images, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing experience. The use of bright gradients and bold illustrations will be one of the mainstream color combinations in 2019.

(9) Creative and bold typographic:

The layout of the web page is just as important as the content displayed on the interface. Statistics show that more than 95% of the information on a webpage is text. In terms of influence on users, typesetting is second only to web color matching and images. Below is an example of what I just explained above; Adventurous, bold typography impresses the audience. Carefully selected fonts with a very bright color as the background, can convey the emotions you need and build a powerful visual hierarchy. In fact, more big names are starting to use their own exclusive fonts to enhance their brand’s recognition.

(10) Overlapping design elements:

Falling closely in line with broken grid layouts and asymmetry, having items overlap each other can bring visual interest to specific types of content on a page. This can bring an element of the unexpected as we’ve grown accustomed to elements on a web page having their own space and separate from the elements around them (generally not touching one another. When done with careful consideration, the trend of overlapping elements on a page can help enhance the overall aesthetic of the site. This can also be pretty difficult to execute giving the mobile-first world we live in, as overlapping elements if not done well can cause confusion and frustration of users when elements overlap in the wrong ways.

(11) Curated visuals:

A powerful illustration can communicate volumes and is more versatile than a photograph. Curated visuals are unique and authentic, can quickly portray powerful emotions, help reduce the prominence of gender and race when illustrating people, make abstract concepts easier to understand, because of these curated visuals are in fact, one the most common trends of web design in 2019.

Five Benefits of a Great SEO

When you’re conducting business online, the importance of SEO can’t be overestimated – a carefully planned SEO strategy is the best guarantee to ensure your position in Google’s search results. If your SEO strategy isn’t up to par, it’s a given that you’ll end up buried low in the search results, and that’s not where you want to be.

However, SEO is a tough subject to master; it requires time and effort like no other digital marketing strategy. Of course, SEO brings with it its unique benefits with experts claiming that SEO was, is and will forever be one of the best sources of traffic that you can get for your website and business.

Below are five benefits of having a great SEO:

  • Increased Traffic – Top positions on the search engine result pages receive a majority of the impressions and clicks, so ranking in these top positions can result in significant traffic increases for your website. SEO also focuses on creating informative and keyword relevant title tags and meta descriptions, which show up in the result pages. Having optimized tags and descriptions helps to increase click through rate, which also promotes increases in qualified web traffic.
  • ROI – SEO provides trackable and quantifiable results, regardless of whether you are an ecommerce or non-ecommerce site so there are no qualms when it comes to ROI. SEO agencies are able to track nearly every aspect of their strategy, like increases in rankings, traffic and conversions. Comprehensive analytics also provide the ability to drill down at a granular level and see demographic information and other engagement metrics for individuals who have interacted with your website.
  • Cost effectiveness – SEO is one of the most cost-effective marketing strategies because it targets users who are actively looking for your products and services online. SEO’s inbound nature helps businesses save money as opposed to outbound strategies like cold-calling. While cold-calling can still be an effective strategy, the leads generated cost 61% more than leads generated by an inbound strategy like SEO. And since SEO also targets users who are actively searching for products and services like yours, the traffic resulting from SEO is more qualified than many other marketing strategies, resulting in cost-savings for companies.
  • The Benefit Of Increased Visibility In Search Engines. The most commonly known advantage to be seen in SEO is an obvious increased visibility in search engines.
  • Great SEO leads to increased credibility for your brand. Ranking highly in the search results signals to searchers that you’re a key player in your industry. Conversely, ranking on the 2nd or 3rd page may lead to unwanted assumptions: that you’re a new business, that you’re not as well known or that you don’t have the budget (and thus sales) to afford to boost your rankings

Starting a Blog

Starting a Blog

Starting a Blog

So, you have a business and you want to start a blog to build and establish your brand on the social media scene but you just don’t know how or where to start. Have no fear, it’s really not rocket science. I have brought you some easy to follow steps to starting your own blog. The aim here is to explain the necessary steps to a good and successful blogging start but before we proceed, why is starting a blog important for your brand?

There are many reasons why it is important to start a blog:

  • Become a published author. It’s no secret. These days, publishers rarely work with authors who don’t have an online presence. The reason is simple: it’s a lot easier to sell books to people who already know you. A blog is one of the easiest places to start.
  • Get more exposure for your existing business.A blog gives anyone–from individuals to large companies–the ability to reach a large number of people at very little cost.
  • Just write. If you want to write, share your story, encourage others and build a community, a blog is a great place to do that.
  • Blogging has quickly become one of the most popular ways of communicating and spreading information and news. There are literally millions of blogs online (don’t worry, you can make yours stand out and get noticed!).
  • It’s a great way to express yourself and also a fantastic way to share information with others.
  • You become a better person and a better writer.
  • The best reason? You can make money doing it!

Below are the steps you need to take in starting a blog:

Step 1: Decide what to blog about

As a business, company or organization, this step will be easy to determine. Your blog should be related to the product(s) or service(s) you provide, or the cause you promote. It requires a lot of content to get going and to remain interesting. Also, choose a niche in which you can establish yourself as an authority. The aim is to get people referring to your brand as the go to blog on particular subjects you are expert on.

Step 2: Choose a blogging platform

This is perhaps, the most important step in starting a blog. There are many services you can use to start a blog or website. You may be tempted to use a free service, but know you’ll be limited, and in some cases, quite severely. You get what you pay for, as they say. Using a paid-for service isn’t expensive and it pays off in the long run. Of the many blogging platforms out there, WordPress is, by far, the most popular with over 82 million active users and it is super easy set-up, free to use with tons of free themes and layouts. It also has a massive support forum in case you get stuck.

Step 3: Find a host

A host provides server space for your site. Put simply, when your site lives on a server (instead of on your personal computer on your desk), others can find your site on the internet.

Step 4: Pick a domain name & hosting package

A domain is a web address. The domain is basically the URL of your website. Examples: google.com (Google.com is the domain), Facebook.com (Facebook.com is the domain).  You may or may not already have a domain. To have an existing domain, you would have registered it with a domain registrar, like GoDaddy or Blacknight. Hosting is basically the company that puts your website up on the internet so everyone else can see it. Everything will be saved on there. Think of it as a computer hard-drive on the internet where your blog will be saved.  Most, if not all hosts, should have a “one-click” WordPress install solution on their admin panel. That button will automatically install WordPress on your blog. Once WordPress is installed on your website, all you have to do to start blogging is go to your WP-Admin page usually www.yourblognamehere.com/wp-admin and start writing by adding a new post.

Step 5 – Designing your WordPress blog

Make your blog look exactly how you want it to. To choose a new theme, you can either head to Appearance > Themes and install a free WordPress theme. WordPress also has this awesome feature that allows you to change themes with just a few clicks. Whenever you get bored of your current blog template, you can just switch to another one without losing any precious content or images. Keep your theme professional and let it reflect your brand’s personality.

And there you have it. Your blog is up and running with the easy as ABC steps above.
