With this brief information on Pinterest, perhaps you would understand what it stands for, and this could inspire you to joining the community of existing users of Pinterest if you are not, and could propel you to becoming an effective user of this platform if you have been a passive user.
What does Pinterest stand for? Pinterest allows users to save images and categorize them on different boards. They can follow other users’ boards if they have similar tastes. The evolution of Pinterest is based on the shared interest of its users and relies on its members to produce the content.
For those familiar with Pinterest, you should agree that the most popular categories you can find in this platform are home, arts and crafts, style/fashion, and food. So, if your business falls into any of this category, I am yet to understand what could be delaying you from joining the community of this users.
Silbermann said he personally wrote to the site’s first 5,000 users offering his personal phone number and even meeting with some of its users. For those unfamiliar with the name Silbermann, he is the CEO of Pinterest, and his full name is Ben Silbermann. To Silbermann, Pinterest summarized the company as a “catalog of ideas,” rather than as a social network, that inspires users to “go out and do that thing.
In December 2015, Pinterest launched a new way for users to monitor price drops on buyable pins. “When users save pins, they’ll get a heads up when a price drops in the form of an in-app notification and an email. They can then jump straight to that pin and make the purchase.” In August 2016, Pinterest launched a video player that lets users and brands upload and store clips of any length straight to the site. On August 23, 2016, Pinterest announced that it would be acquiring the team behind Instapaper, which will continue operating as a separate app. The Instapaper team will both work on the core Pinterest experience and updating Instapaper.
Before 2013, Pinterest only accounted for about 2 percent of global social-mediated sales; however, it has recently substantially increased to about 23 percent. People use social media sites like Pinterest to direct or guide their choices in products. However, at this time, the data collected from Pinterest is predominantly from female users. A recent study found that 80% of Pinterest users are women.
Pinterest won the Best New Startup of 2011 at the TechCrunch Crunchies Awards. At the 2012 Webby Awards, Pinterest won Best Social Media App and People’s Voice Award for best functioning visual design.
In March 2017, the company came under the scanner of the Chinese Internet laws. China has decided to block Pinterest. This decision came as a major shock to the users in China and further throws light on China’s curtailment of freedom of speech.
Internet service providers in India had blocked Pinterest following a Madras High Court order in July 2016 to block a list of around 225 “rogue websites indulging in online piracy and infringement of copyright”. Considering that Pinterest is an online bulletin board and not a file sharing service or a video streaming service, it was a surprise for many. The block was temporary.
It is not surprising that irrespective of this disapproval by the above countries, many of her citizens admit the importance of this powerful platform. Pinterest can add a lot to your business than you can ever imagine.

Color trends fluctuate, and sometimes they come out of nowhere, and this is not an exception with the gist about iPhone 8. This latest trend that threatens to invade the smartphone market came out of the blue. Or, in this case, brown. It may have started with a Copper Gold Nokia 8 leak, but it’s even stranger that Apple is following suit. Or maybe Nokia just got whiff of what Apple was planning and immediately set out to copy it.
The possible copper like colour of the iPhone 8 became a topic of discussion among iPhone followers and users on social media. This colour did not receive popularity by the social media community.
How did this iPhone 8 copper like colour become a trending topic?
Well, the rumor was shared on Twitter by Benjamin Geskin, who cites a post on Weibo from a “Foxconn insider.” Considering the source, the claim might be taken with a pretty hefty grain of salt.
There is a less detailed information on what the iPhone 8 colour will look like: Last Tuesday, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said all of Apple’s upcoming 2017 iPhones would be available in black, silver, and gold, but he made no specific mention of the copper-like coluor, which began appearing in several videos of dummy iPhone 8 models following the original Weibo post. The potential colors that the OLED iPhone will come in has become more of a talking point since references in the HomePod firmware seemingly confirmed that Apple’s radical redesign would be almost bezel-free with a notch at the top for camera components. KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that the iPhone 8 will come in three colour choices including copper gold, white, and black. Kuo also added that the iPhone 8 will launch on time alongside the iPhone 7s, though it will be in limited in terms of supply.
Interestingly, there is also a strong report claiming that Apple will only offer the Gold iPhone 8 in the 64GB and 128GB capacities. Apple currently limits the Jet Black iPhone 8 to the 128GB and 256GB capacities, but it’s a bit odd that the Blush Gold model would be limited to the 64GB and 128GB, not the highest end model.
In no time a confirmation or disapproval will be given to the projection of the iPhone 8 colour.

Remarkably, Samsung Electronics has assembly plants and sales networks in 80 countries and employs around 370,000 people. Since 2012, Kwon Oh-hyun has served as the company’s CEO.
Not sure you know Samsung is the world’s largest manufacturer of mobile phones and smartphones fueled by the popularity of its Samsung Galaxy line of devices. The company is also a major vendor of tablet computers, particularly its Android-powered Samsung Galaxy Tab collection, and is generally regarded as pioneering the phablet market through the Samsung Galaxy note family of devices.
You also need know that Samsung has been the World’s largest television manufacturer since 2006, and the world’s largest manufacturer of mobile phones since 2011.
The company has set an ambitious goal of reaching $400 billion in annual revenues within ten years. The company has 24 research-and-development centers around the world, and since the early 2000s and in the Vision 2020, Samsung has emphasized technical research and development. However, the large number of online complaints indicate that the company is weak at listening to customer feedback regarding the design of its technology and software.
In Q1 2015, Samsung’s profit dropped 39% to USD4.35 billion due to heavier smartphone competition from Apple’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, as well as a slew of Android competitors.
On 2 May 2017, Samsung has been given permission from The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korea to start testing a self-driving car technology. According to the Korea Herald, the company will be using a customized Hyundai car for the tests.
The company focuses on four areas: digital media, semiconductor, telecommunication network and LCD digital appliances.
The company overtook Apple in worldwide smartphone sales during the third quarter 2011, with a total market share of 23.8 percent, compared to Apple’s 14.6 percent share. Samsung became the world’s largest cellphone maker in 2012, with the sales of 95 million smart phones in the first quarter.
During the third quarter of 2013, Samsung’s smartphone sales improved in emerging markets such as India and the Middle East, where cheaper handsets were popular. As of October 2013, the company offers 40 smartphone models on its US website.
The above are what I have gathered about Samsung on the surface so far; please feel free to share with me any information on Samsung you feel should be added to this article.

For those not used to Google’s product, wondering why the news and what is Google’s app? Google Contacts is Google’s app for managing your contacts. Previously, the only normal way to get Google’s official, dedicated Android contacts app was to pick up a Pixel, Nexus or Android One phone. Many third-party apps could fill in the gaps, but it wasn’t what Google had planned. Henceforth, the application is now available for all devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop and newer(75% of all Android devices).
What to expect from the Google’e app are: The Google’s app supports launching a new phone call or new SMS message from a contact’s page, so this would be a suitable replacement for anyone to use instead of the included Contact application. It also supports the ability to import contacts saved to a SIM card, for users that still do that for some reason. The software is mainly helpful for its tight integration. And not ignoring the better accessibility feature the app provides.
Google is allowing this latest update to the Contacts app to the Play Store now, but if you aren’t currently unable to view this new version for yourself, it is advised you download the APK file for it.
The update is presently available for everyone, including Galaxy S8, LG G6, Blackberry Keyone, and more.
Let us take a positive look of this update from a marketing angle. It is obvious Google is interested in better serving its customers with the recent update of the Google’s app, and no a doubt the company takes her feedback important, knowing fully well a brand’s customers are the kings of the business. Some companies have collapsed for not taking the concerns of their customers imperative. I believe this recent update by Google will inspire small or big brands that do not work enough or slow to giving their customers new experiences.

First and foremost, with the fast battery charging (Quick Charge 3.0). And attractive colours of Titan, Silver and Pink, LG is preparing to sweep many off their feet and compel their competitors to chasing them. This is looking bright for her in regards to sales and rating by the religious lovers of impressive technology.
The LG V30’S will also have 18:9 aspect ratio with support for HDR 10 and Google Daydream
Fortunately, LG is slowly giving details about its upcoming V30 flagship smartphone weeks ahead of the launch which is anticipated this month.
On Thursday, LG revealed the details about the phone’s camera, which will have some remarkable specs.
First, one of the lenses in V30’s dual camera setup on the back will have a f/1.6 aperture, which according to LG is the largest ever aperture on a smartphone camera lens. This means the lens will deliver 25 percent more light to the camera sensor, which would ideally result in better camera performance in low light conditions. Amazing, I can hear you say. They are more to this.
The lens will also be made of glass, not plastic, which will further contribute to image quality, especially to better color reproduction.
It seems obvious it will be a similar setup as in the company’s G6 and V20 phones, with one regular and one wide-angle lens, although LG has not confirmed this speculation with it recent leak, yet it looks very possible. LG claims the V30’s wide-angled camera will cut edge distortion — which, from a testing of the G6, it has been known to be a very real issue that significantly spoils those wide-angle shots — by a third compared to the V20’s camera.
Finally, the rear camera module on the V30 will be 30 percent smaller than on the V20. It will feature laser detection autofocus as well as both optical and electronic image stabilization and electronic image stabilization.
